Miss America, AKA America Chavez, is a female superhero who first appeared in multiple limited series before getting her own story in March 2017. She is the first Latin-American LGBTQ member to receive her own series.
America Chavez was raised by her mothers in the Utopian Parallel, a reality out of time. She gained powers while being outside of normal realty. Wishing to prove her powers can help others, and knowing her home would never be in need of saving, she hopped around realities until she stopped on Marvel's main Earth 616 and became the superhero Miss America. She has proved herself a good leader upon the many teams she has been on and continues to be in the spotlight in her comic, still in progress at nine issues.
Her powers include superhuman strength and durability, and the power of flight. Chavez also has the power to kick open holes in reality, allowing her and others to travel through the multiverse and into other realities and move at incredible speed.
